Q+A

Who are the M Powerment workshops open to?
Any man who is a cancer fighter, survivor or currently living with cancer.

Who might I expect to see at an M Powerment workshop?
Guys like yourself who have had cancer. You will also see the founder, Dan Dean, along with the rest of the staff–Andy Dohanos and Corey Wright.

What age must I be to attend?
You must be 21 and older.

Where will these workshops be held?
Check out the events page for more information.

In each city, we will host the workshops at local microbrews or bars. We’re always open to great recommendations, too.

If you’d like to host a workshop or are interested in having one in your city, please send us an email HERE.

What’s the cost?
It’s totally free to attend.

Is this a certified program?
These workshops rely on both the experience of the founder, Dan Dean, a 13-year cancer survivor, and fellow survivors Dan knows. Dan has also consulted with oncology social workers to test that experience with established healing therapies.

It also uses effective strategies backed up by research. In addition, an expert in communications studies, Professor Andy Dohanos from Baldwin Wallace Unviersity, will be present to facilitate the relationship communication program.

Does it work?
Yes, the programs offer successful ways to handle your cancer experience based on real life experience and research-based coping mechanisms.

The programs have already been presented to male cancer survivors and have received outstanding feedback.

What if I can’t wait for an M Powerment workshop to come to my city and I want to talk to someone and get help?
You can find a cancer survivor mentor with Imerman Angels in Chicago; they match fighters and survivors all across the United States
